ST. JOSEPH'S 2011 CHRISTMAS

It was a Joyous Day for everyone at St. Joseph Church! The Choir was at its best with something new this Christmas, Kaipo with his Bango added more to the sound of the Choir. New members of the choir were Kaipo and Chake. We thank Pasquana, Charmaine, Keolani, Regina, JR, and Austin who did an outstanding job in decorating our Church. It was breathtaking! Merry Christmas from all of us at St. Joseph Church.

Mere Lynn. Thank you so much for this blog. This is a great way to unite all the people of Hapesang all over the world. We have all scattered all over and are feeling so far removed from the needs and the events of our church. This is going to keep me posted to what you guys are doing and how you are progressing. Thank you once more. Merry Christmas and may we see a very blessed and prosperous New Year.

PRAYER FOR THE SICK

Lord, our God, you sent your Son into the world to bear our infirmities and to endure our sufferings. For your servants who are sick, we ask that your blessing will give them strength to overcome their weakness through the power of patience and the comfort of hope that with your aid they will soon be restored to health. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Novena To St. Peregrine

Glorious wonder-worker, St. Peregrine, you answered the divine call with a ready spirit, and forsook all the comforts of a life of ease and all the empty honors of the world to dedicate yourself to God in the Order of His holy Mother. You labored manfully for the salvation of souls. In union with Jesus crucified, you endured painful sufferings with such patience as to deserve to be healed miraculously of an incurable cancer in your leg by a touch of His divine hand.

Obtain for me the grace to answer every call of God and to fulfill His will in all the events of life. Enkindle in my heart a consuming zeal for the salvation of all men. Deliver me from the infirmities that afflict my body (especially.....).

Obtain for me also a perfect resignation to the sufferings it may please God to send me, so that, imitating our crucified Savior and His sorrowful Mother, I may merit eternal glory in heaven.

St. Peregrine, pray for me and for all who invoke your aid.

PRAYER FOR PRIESTS

O Almighty Eternal God, Look upon the face of Thy Christ, and for the love of Him, Who is the Eternal High Priest, have pity on yours priests. Remember, O most compassionate God, that they are but weak and frail human beings. Stir up in them the grace of their vocation which is in them by the imposition of the Bishop’s hands. Keep them close to you, lest the enemy prevail against them, so that they may never do anything in the slightest degree unworthy of their sublime vocation.

O Jesus, I pray to you, for your faithful and fervent priests; for your unfaithful and tepid priests; for your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields; for your tempted priests, for your lonely and desolate priests; for your young priests; for your aged priests; for your sick priests; for your dying priests; for the souls of your priests in purgatory.

But above all, I commend to you the priests dearest to me: the priest who baptized me; the priests who absolved me from my sins; the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me your Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priests who taught and instructed me or helped and encouraged me; all the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way, particularly

Our priests in Palau Fr. Rusk Saburo, Fr. John Paul Ililau, and all the priests in our Diocese of the Carolines.

O Jesus, keep them all close to your heart, and bless them abundantly in time and in eternity. Amen.
